THK Caged Ball™ Goes Small!(Pic)

THK continues to push the boundaries of its proven Caged Ball™ technology with the introduction of the system into a new range of miniature SRS LM Guides®. The benefits of Caged Ball technology, most notably, silent movement, virtually maintenance free operation and high speed, make the new miniature linear motion guides particularly suitable for use in semiconductor, electronics manufacture, biotec, medical and precision automation and measurement applications. THK SRS Miniature Guides The new miniature SRS LM Guides, available in six rail widths - 7, 9, 12, 15, 20 and 23mm - maintain compact dimensions in all planes. For example, the 7mm rail has a total width, with block, of 17mm and is just 6.7mm in height. In addition to the six rail widths, the new miniature series also encompasses an additional wider and longer version that enables higher load ratings and permissible moments to be applied. Linear bearing lubrication in the new SRS miniature series can be further enhanced by specifying THK¡¯s specially developed grease, type AFE, which substantially reduces the generation of airborne particles in operation.
