New Machine Condition Transmitters From SKF(Pic)

SKF Reliability Systems announced the introduction of four new types of Machine Condition Transmitters (MCTs) to expand its offering of Condition Monitoring tools. The new compact, rail-mounted devices monitor Acceleration, Displacement, Position and Temperature and can be used independently or combined with SKF¡¯s Velocity and Enveloped Acceleration Modules. When used effectively, these transmitters comprise a low-cost continuous monitoring system designed to provide insight on machinery health and bearing degradation. The system can be interfaced with process control systems, connected to the Microlog® Data Collectors/Analyzers for a root cause analysis, and can provide seamless data integration to various software solutions. The new Acceleration Transmitter provides a direct measurement in terms of RMS acceleration. The Displacement and Position Transmitters, used with an eddy current probe/driver system, determine the overall vibration amplitude and the relative axial position of a rotor. The Temperature Transmitter, used with a temperature sensor or dual output vibration temperature sensor processes signal in degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius. SKF's Velocity Module measures overall health of the machinery while the Enveloped Acceleration Module provides bearing-specific data.
