SKF To Show Condition Monitors At Maintec

SKF uses Maintec, the UK's Asset Management and Maintenance Exhibition, as the platform from which to heighten awareness of its asset efficiency optimisation programme ¨C a broad range of both tools and services geared towards maximising productivity and plant uptime. Held at the NEC in Birmingham between March 14 and 16, 2006, SKF¡¯s stand at Maintec will highlight some of the company¡¯s advanced condition monitoring systems including the Microlog MX, Microlog GX, MicroVibe P among others. These tools provide comprehensive data relating to the health of a machine and are easy to install on existing plant and machinery as an aid to predictive and preventative maintenance. SKF will also, for the first time, be exhibiting the innovative range of automated lubricant distribution systems from German acquired company Willy Vogel AG. For machine settings there are a range of alignment tools in the Fixturlaser range covering procedures such as shaft alignment, geometric setting and levelling. Maintenance products on show include mechanical tools, bearing induction heaters and instruments for low-end condition monitoring. There will also be lubricants and automatic lubricators. Under the umbrella of its Asset Efficiency Optimisation (AEO) programme, SKF will demonstrate how machinery downtime can be reduced and plant productivity vastly improved through the intelligent application of technology. "To equip the world with SKF knowledge is a primary driver this year for us," said Phil Burge of SKF UK. "Visitors to our stand will have no doubt that the depth of expertise we possess at SKF is indeed impressive and matched by no other company in this field." There will also be demonstrations of leading products and services from SKF's five platforms - bearings and units, seals, mechatronics, services and lubrication systems.
