Bearing Industry Success For ELTERMA¡¯s Continuous Roller Hearth Furnaces
ELTERMA, part of the Seco/Warwick Group, has recently completed start-up of another A/SP-1200 furnace for spheroidal annealing of bearing ring forgings of 100Cr6 and 100CrMnSi6-4 steel. This follows several other similar projects that have been undertaken in 2005. The latest furnace was delivered to Fabryka Łożysk Tocznych SA, the leading supplier of rolling bearings in Poland. Furnace operation is automatic. The whole process is controlled by the installed computer visualisation system, which includes archiving and reporting. At the end of 2005 ELTERMA, shipped another A/SP-1200 roller hearth furnace for the spheroidal annealing of bearing rings; this time to a rolling bearing producer¡¯s plant in southern Russia. In the second half of 2005, ELTERMA delivered a production line for hardening and tempering bearing rings, based on its ARE-600.1 roller hearth furnaces. Among the items supplied, the line includes: a hardening furnace; a tempering furnace; two hardening oil quench tanks; a washing machine; and a drying machine. The application of modified process controlling systems enables the customer to modify the characteristics of heat treatment processes and, at the same time, guarantees fulfilment of the highest quality demands required of the parts produced.
