Indian Oil Inks Mou With Timken India for Automotive Grease

NEW DELHI, Dec 6 Asia Pulse - State-owned Indian Oil Corp (BSE:530965) has inked a MoU with Timken India Ltd to manufacture and market 'Timken Premium Automotive Grease' in the country. Under the agreement, the grease, manufactured by Indian Oil, would be marketed by Timken India Ltd for after market distribution through its established network, retailers and mechanics, an Indian Oil release said here on Monday. Timken India Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Timken Company, USA, and has a world-class manufacturing facility in Jamshedpur and a state-of-the-art global engineering and research facilty in Bangalore. The strategic alliance will cover the manufacture of 'Timken Premium Automotive Grease', which is a Super Premium Grease developed specially for commercial vehicles under Indian conditions, it said. "It is a perfect business partnership as both the companies are leaders in their own fields," deputy managing director Timken India Ltd Shyamal K Sinha said. The grease is a Lithium Complex Grease of high consistency and provides excellent protection against rust, resists water washout and provides longer life to vehicle parts, it said.
