NSK-Asia Pacific Technology Center Opening Ceremony (Thailand)(pic)
The NSK-Asia Technology Center held its opening ceremony on July 7, 2005. Many distinguished guests, among them the Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Phinij Jarumsombat and the Deputy Governor, Mr. Prasobsil Chotimongkol, attended the ceremony. Siam Motors, our longtime partner, many of our suppliers and customers also joined us in celebrating this event.
The NSK-Asia Technology Center (APTC) was established to meet the diverse and changing technological needs of the industrial machinery, the electronic and the automotive industry in the Asia ¨C Oceania region, particularly that of Thailand.

Buddhist monks were present to provide their blessings on the success of the
newly-established APTC.¡± |
Although Thailand was in the midst of its rainy season, the opening ceremony was held under bright blue skies and hot summer heat. The ceremony was conducted in the Thai tradition with Buddhist monks present to provide prayers and blessings for the success of this new center.
NSK Ltd.¡¯s President, Mr. Seiichi Asaka, made a few remarks at the ceremony. ¡°We have established technology centers in each region of the globe in order to meet the needs and specifications of all our customers in a timely manner. The Asia Pacific Technology Center will be a member of the ¡°Global Technology Network¡± we are hoping to achieve. Drawing on the capabilities of our global network, APTC will serve the needs of the Asia Pacific region, particularly the growing automotive industry of Thailand.¡± He thanked the government of Thailand, NSK¡¯s suppliers, customers, long-time partner and the local people for their support over many years and look forward to continuing this relationship.
