INA provides special coatings for linear guidance systems to protect against corrosion and wear(pic)

INA Linear Technology Division now offers manufacturers of production, material flow and handling systems an intelligently matched range of special coatings to protect linear guidance systems against corrosion and wear. Since this system of coatings offers the customer a very high level of functionality and user benefits, it has received the X-life seal of quality. The X-life brand brings together premium products and services from INA and FAG for industrial applications. Production, material flow and handling systems must often deliver very high performance under extremely difficult conditions. The demands on the machine components are enormous, particularly in relation to maximum technical availability. Malfunctions due to corrosion or wear must be completely or at least substantially eliminated. There are now three possible coating systems from which to select, depending on the particular area of application: The INA special coating "Corrotect®" gives extremely high anti-corrosion protection (protection against moisture, salt spray, contaminated water, and weak alkaline agents) and does not impair the load carrying capacity. The INA special coating "Protect A" offers anti-wear protection combined with some anti-corrosion protection. Since this coating is free from chromium 6, it is ideally suited for use in the food industry (protection against various chlorides, various oils, sulphur compounds, chlorine compounds and weak acidic agents.) The INA special coating "Protect B" gives both effective anti-wear protection and high anti-corrosion protection. This coating should also be recommended where high anti-corrosion protection is required but continuous lubrication cannot be guaranteed (protection against various chlorides, various oils, sulphur compounds, chlorine compounds and weak acidic agents.)
