Bearings come in neutral coloured housings

The popular QCB (Europe) Thermoplastic housed bearing range has been expanded to include neutral (white) coloured housings. Previously only available in a dark green colour, market demand has led to NBC adding a neutral coloured housing to the range. David Edwards from NBC's OEM Division explains: 'Although the dark green clearly identifies the QCB product, some clients felt a neutral coloured housing option would allow them to blend in the bearing better against their machinery bodies'. 'Or maybe white is the new black?' he joked. The QCB (Europe) thermoplastic housed bearing is used in applications where the traditional cast iron 'self-lube' housing is not practical for hygiene or longevity purposes - typically in food machinery where the smooth PBT body has the advantage of having no food traps, and can be washed down without fear. The bearings in the housings are made from AISI 440C stainless steel, as are the grease nipples and bolt inserts. The bearings are then filled with a FDA approved food grease. Each bearing comes supplied with a closed end cover as standard, although open covers and back seals are available as an option. NBC Group has seen its QCB (Europe) brand become one of the market leaders in the UK for thermoplastic housed bearings due to their wide selection of housing styles being all available from stock at competitive prices and believe the neutral colour housing will only serve to enhance the products' reputation.
