Preview of Profit Increase of China's Machinery Industry in 2005

On Feb 2's news releasing meeting, Mr. Cai weici, the chairman of China Machinery Industrial Association, indicated that there will be a steady rise in China's Machinery Industry in 2005; and the profit of this industry will increase by 10 percent steadily. According to Mr. Cai, the total output value of machinery industry will increase 15-20% from 2004. Due to the over-high cardinal number of 2004's machinery industy which is caused by the sharp increase of the first half of 2004, machinery industry's increase will slow-down in the beginning of 2005 but sharp in the latter half of 2005. Energy and material conservation as well as environmental protection will be the theme of machinery industry in 2005.
