Development of Shandong Bearing Ball Industry

Four years ago, Shandong Taian Shengdian Industrial & Trade Co.,Ltd gave up an order of producing 2000 tons of bearing ball from a foreign customer, because they were not able to finish that order. But now such things will no longer exist. The company had passed the ISO9002 Certificate and won the right for self-run import and export operation successively. Most of their products were produced for export, and they have signed a long term supplying contract with an American ball distributor. All of these indicated that Taian Shengdian has changed from a town based industry to a competitive bearing ball manufacturer. In 1980s, Shandong Ningyang Ball Industry(a subsidiary of Taian Shendian, in Ningyang town) began produce bearing ball. As a new industry, there were few competitors. That's why the company could enjoy its high profit and also brought along so many followers. So far, there have had over 120 ball manufactories, producing 60,000 tons of various bearing balls per year, which accounting for 30% of the total balls made in China. From January to July, the total sales and revenue of the top eight ball manufactories in Ningyang are RMB 65 million and RMB 11 million respectively. As the bearing ball industry developed day by day, so many investors came here. For example, Shanghai S.B.C Steel Ball Factory invested RMB 60 million for founding a joint venture with Mr.Yubo who is one of the outstanding enterpriser in Ningyang.
