BSA Fall Meeting Gets Raves Reviews from Attendees
BSA Fall Meeting Gets Raves Reviews from Attendees One-hundred percent of survey respondents reported the Bearing Specialists Association (BSA) 2007 Fall Meeting in Chicago met or exceeded their expectations. Forty-nine-percent of all attendees responded to the post-meeting survey. Attendees at BSA's Fall and Winter Meetings traditionally give the events high marks for meeting and exceeding their expectations, but the number of responses as well as their endorsement of the meeting are especially notable. Participants say the compact schedule in a smaller, more intimate format than the association's Annual Convention offers an outstanding opportunity to network with industry peers in a casual setting and, they add, to help influence the direction the industry takes over the coming years. The 2007 Fall Meeting offered BSA leaders and committee members a meeting venue to address a number of important issues and association projects, including industry-specific educational projects in development, the continued promotion of its "authorized distributor" message, topics in information technology and logistics, and planning for the association's 2008 Annual Convention. The Information Technology and Logistics Committee also welcomed a presentation from Maribel Lopez of Forrester Research on "The Enterprise Mobility Evolution." BSA leaders will convene for the 2008 Winter Meeting, January 21-22, 2008, at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead, Atlanta, Georgia. The association will host its 2008 Annual Convention, April 26-29, 2008, at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, Tucson, Arizona. BSA is the "must belong to organization for authorized bearing distributors." An international service and educational organization of distributors representing a total of almost 100 companies distributing factory-warranted ball-, roller-, and anti-friction bearings and invited manufacturers of bearings and related products, the association's mission says, "BSA is the forum to enhance networking and knowledge sharing and promote the sale of bearings through authorized distributors."
