ZKL Group on 49th Brno Engineering Fair

ZKL Group on 49th Brno Engineering Fair The traditional International Engineering Fair, combined this year with 4th International Transport and Logistics Fair, took place on Brno exhibition grounds from October 1st to 5th, 2007. Combination of these two fairs influenced the year-to-year growth of exhibitors' number from last year's 2050 to 2100 participants this year. By qualified estimate of organizers the total number of visitors reached the figure of nearly 100 000. For ZKL this year's fair was more significant due to the 60th anniversary of roller bearings production in Brno. This fact was also reflected in the extent of our exhibition stand exceeding 100 sq. m. and in its general harmony along with anniversary logo and accentuation of technical roots of production beginnings in ZKL. In order to underline the professional and technical fundamentals emanating from Zbrojovka Brno traditions the exhibition of its veteran car Z 4 of "first series" of year 1933, was selected. Brno Technical Museum offered its assistance in it. This vehicle being the first automobile in Czechoslovakia with front wheel drive and 2-stroke engine emphasized great innovative potential of former Zbrojovka and attracted great interest of visitors in our exhibition. Along with the historic exhibit it presented its contemporary achievements comprising last year¡¯s appraisals on Nitra International Fair and Brno golden medals. Among the exhibits the innovated executions EJ, CJ, EMH of spherical roller bearings as well as last year's awarded bearings EMHD2 for vibration conditions could be also found. The novelties comprised the innovation NEW FORCE and special roller bearing PLC 410-15/16-2 with polyamide cage which are undergoing the necessary tests right now. The pipe program for automotive industry and roller bearings components from ZKL Hanusovice, a. s. were another interesting exhibits of ZKL stand. Visitors of this exhibition could not miss the installed 2-tons shaft with application of double-row spherical roller bearing exhibited by German manufacturer AD - Steel Forge, GmbH in ground floor of D pavilion. This exhibit's mass exceeded permissible load of the gallery where ZKL stand was situated and therefore there was no other solution how to practically demonstrate the use of ZKL bearings in otherwise hopelessly filled up D pavilion. Besides of representative function our stand offered also the necessary hinterland for negotiation with ZKL important commercial partners. Though the trade fairs environs register nowadays departure from traditional concept as points for signing contracts there were held negotiations important enough to be indicated without exaggeration as turning point for further development of ZKL Group.
