SKF Backs BSI Garage Services Kitemark Scheme
SKF Backs BSI Garage Services Kitemark Scheme The UK subsidiary of the bearings manufacturer SKF has distributed a leaflet to its garage customers, stating that the BSI¡¯s Kitemark for Garage Services accreditation scheme is the most convincing way for them to show the Government and National Consumer Council that the service and repair sector is capable of regulating itself. In the leaflet, SKF, a member of the Automotive Distribution Federation which has itself voiced support for the Kitemark, warns that a ¡®supercomplaint¡¯ from the National Consumer Council (NCC) could ask the Office of Fair Trading to impose regulation on garages and service centres.
