Anhui CR Seals Co., Ltd Wuhu inauguration

Anhui CR Seals Co., Ltd was formed as a joint venture in December 1996 between AB SKF, holding 60% of the shares, and Anhui Asimco Co., Ltd, holding 40% of the shares. The company commenced operation in March 1997 in Zhongxi, Ningguo City of Anhui Province to manufacture and supply oil seals to the automotive and industrial customers in China. With the rapid development of China¡¯s economy, and in particular, the high growth of the automotive industry in the recent years, the company decided to move its operations to Wuhu City in order to keep pace with its need for expansion, recruitment of skilled engineers and managers, and better location to serve its customers. The new factory in Wuhu has a land area of 25,000 sq.m and a 9,000 sq.m factory floor area in the first phase. In the new factory location, the company has targeted to grow its business rapidly by focusing on the opportunities in the automotive industry in China and exports to Europe and the USA. To meet this plan, the company in Wuhu has launched a major project to transfer the production of shaft seals together with the latest injection moulding and PTFE seals technologies form CR Elastomere in Germany. With this new location and start in the Wuhu Economic and Technology Development Area, the company will be in a position to provide an improved customer service, expand its market share and presence in China, as well as developing its export business opportunities.
