Schaeffler Brazil Receives Award From Toyota Mercosur The Brazilian subsidiary of the Schaeffler Group Herzogenaurach, Schaeffler Brazil, received two important awards from Toyota Mercosur in May 2007. With the ¡°Quality Excellence Performance Award¡±, the Japanese vehicle manufacturer recognized the high quality of INA products. The ¡°Cost Achievement Performance Certificate¡± was awarded for excellent pricing policies. Ricardo Reimer, President of the Schaeffler Group in South America, and Sergio Pin, who is responsible for INA and FAG Sales and Development in South America, accepted the awards during a special ceremony. Only 11 top suppliers from Argentina and Brazil are really ¡°top¡± and received the ¡°Quality Excellence Performance Award¡± for products supplied during 2006. In addition, INA achieved ¡°Zero PPM¡± for the entire scope of delivery for supplied chain tensioners in engines ¨C this means not one single defective part in 1 million parts produced! Also a sign for quality: there was not one single customer complaint in 2006. ¡°We are proud to be one of the best suppliers to Toyota. Both awards emphasize the close partnership that we have and are the result of our efforts to fully meet the expectations of our customers. The awards also show that our corporate culture is characterized by constant innovation and continuous improvement of products and processes¡±.
