By adding a full line of tapered adapter and split-housed equivalent units and expanding the existing straight bore size offerings, QM Bearings has given customers a wide array of interchangeability options utilising the exclusive V-Lock double-tapered locking mechanism. Originally launched in select straight-bore equivalent sizes in January, 2006, the V-lock locking mechanism is designed to maximise shaft holding power and minimise the time needed for installation and removal as compared to conventional bearings. With no need for feeler gauges during installation, the V-Lock locking mechanism offers superior holding power, yet is impossible to over-tighten. Plus, mechanical withdrawal is available on double-nut units.
