SKF to Celebrate Centenary at Hillhead 26th to 28th June, Hillhead Quarry, Buxton, Derbyshire SKF Industrial Division are on Stand F2, outdoor plot SKF, the knowledge engineering company, will be celebrating its centenary year at Hillhead 2007, the international quarrying and recycling show, exhibiting the latest technology from its five platforms: Bearings and units, Seals, Mechatronics, Lubrication systems and Services. In particular, the SKF stand will feature the company's Vogel centralised lubrication systems, the latest energy efficient bearings, a mobile version of the Copperhead fault detection system, the Microlog MX vibration analyser, and the latest generation of high capacity roller screws. SKF's energy efficient bearings deliver exceptional performance levels while using 30% less energy than conventional models, saving end users money and increasing the performance of machinery. Performance is enhanced further by the Vogel centralised automated lubrication systems, which ensure that system components in off-highway applications receive the right amount of lubrication at the right time, cutting maintenance requirements and downtime considerably. Also available to minimise downtime is the Copperhead fault detection system, which is able to monitor a complete vehicle for abnormal conditions such as vibration and temperature. Likewise, the company's Microlog MX vibration analyser has been launched as an intrinsically safe addition to its Microlog range, specifically designed for the mining and quarrying industry. Additionally, SKF's latest range of roller screws have been developed for use where extremely high loads are required to be positioned smoothly and reliably, able to offer dynamic load carrying capacity in excess of 2,235kN, and high rotational speeds of over 3,000rpm.
