Timken Zeroes in on Pune, to Sink $300 m The $5 billion bearings manufacturer, Timken, as part of its strategy to scale up its operations in India from $70 million in 2006 to $300 million by 2010, has zeroed in on Pune to propel its growth. The Pune operations will provide engineering and sales support to the automotive and industrial markets in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Chattisgarh and Goa. Timken¡¯s India operations came into focus in its global plans with one of its homegrown service product, Milltec, receiving attention from steel factories across the world.
