Indian Police Arrest Cadres With Ball Bearings Indian police have arrested eight LTTE members in southern India and seized more than two metric tons of ball bearings in their possession. Media reports said these ball bearings, which can be used for making mines, were manufactured in Mumbai, and the suspects had told police that they planned to take them to Sri Lanka. On Tuesday five were arrested in Chennai. The remaining three were arrested in Tuticorin, south of Chennai, an official said.
