SKF to Unveil Microlog GX-E at MAINTEC 2007

SKF, the knowledge engineering company, will launch its new Microlog Analyzer GX-E System at MAINTEC 2007, the UK's leading exhibition for the maintenance and asset management industry. The GX-E is the latest model in SKF¡¯s successful range of portable data collection systems, designed to make it easier than ever for maintenance engineers to monitor accurately the condition of a diverse range of rotating equipment, ensuring that machinery continues to operate at optimum performance levels and that maintenance costs are minimised. The new hand-held unit has been specifically developed solely for field collection of data and route based analysis, including vibration signals and process variables and bearing assessments, incorporating such features as a large colour display and automatic optimum data acquisition settings, which make the unit refreshingly simple to use. Due to its modular design, the GX-E can easily and cost effectively be upgraded as the asset monitoring needs of a plant and the technical requirements of its engineers evolve. Accompanying software helps form a complete condition monitoring system, which allows engineers to carry out detailed analysis of the data collected in the field, and to produce comprehensive reports easily. SKF will also be exhibiting its Fixturlaser laser alignment system, which enables maintenance engineers to align rotating shafts and machinery simply and accurately, and its centralised lubrication systems, developed to automate the lubrication of machinery, ensuring that components receive the correct amount of lubricant at the right time to maximise performance and reduce maintenance requirements. SKF Asset Management Services is now a major part of the global company, in keeping with its strategy of offering knowledge-based service solutions developed to optimise plant asset efficiency and reliability.
