FAG Industrial Services: Higher Reliability for the Customer Troubleshooting with Detector II

FAG Industrial Services GmbH is presenting ¡°Detector II¡±, a newly developed damage diagnosis instrument. Available immediately, ¡°Detector II¡± helps users to avoid unexpected machinery downtime and optimize maintenance scheduling. It combines the features of a portable vibration measuring device with those of a data collector and is ideally suited for periodic measurements, for instance during inspection rounds. While its predecessor ¡°Detector I¡± has already proven successful in practical use, the new instrument now offers a significantly extended performance range ¨C at comparatively little extra cost for the customer. A special new feature is the ¡°e-mail button¡± which permits the straightforward selection of data sets and their transmission to a team of diagnosis experts at the FAG service subsidiary. Product Manager Detlef Massorz explains the advantages: ¡°In this way users can obtain direct support when it comes to the evaluation of vibration measurement readings.¡± Furthermore, the instrument enables the storage of time signals and generation of corresponding frequency spectra. In the process, totally variable frequency bandwidths can be determined both for the raw signal and envelope spectrum, in order to examine the installation for specific machinery damage. Options like temperature measurement, free selection of measuring points and individual route determination round off the overall picture. ¡°Detector II¡± excels by its compact dimensions and ease of handling ¨C features that also enable inexperienced operators to arrive at useful vibration measurement results.
