ZKL Group on 48th International Engineering Fair Brno£¨Pic)

As it has already become a tradition recurring annually, ZKL Group took part in the International Engineering Fair at Brno, held between September 18 to 22. Simultaneously with the 48th MSV Engineering Fair also in sequence the 5th International Fair of Machine Tools and Forming Machines has been held. As the preliminary statistic data tell, this year there participated 2 100 exhibitors from 32 states and around 100 000 visitors in this venue, the net exhibition area totaled 67 500 sq. m and altogether 420 newsmen were accredited. Our exhibition stand covering 70m2 was situated in exhibition hall D, as usually. The principal exhibits were the innovations supported by funds of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Czech Republic and the most interesting and finally also the most sought of them ¨C the innovated 223 series of spherical roller bearings in EMHD2 execution for vibration conditions. This series has been entered for Fair Golden Medal competition, preceded by media campaign in technical periodicals timely harmonized with the trade fair date. The particulars of design, development and testing, as well as the advantages and use of this type of bearings can be found in renowned technical magazines Technik (Technician) and Technicky tydenik (Technical Weekly), as well as in journals bringing information on Czech industry, such as Bohemia Express published also in German and English version. The appraising commission visited the stands of exhibitors with competing exhibits on Sunday preceding the fair opening in order to assess jointly with representatives of exhibitors the entered products and to clarify various details needed for final commission decision. The jury obtained exhausting answers orally by ZKL Research and Development Director Mr. Vladimir Zikmund. The pronouncement of winning exhibits took place at 6 p.m. of the first day of the fair in exhibition hall A. Out of 27 competing exhibits less than half of them has been awarded only. It was a great pleasure to hear that the exhibit "Spherical Rollers for Vibration Conditions - Manufacturer ZKL Brno, a. s." was pronounced as the first of all. The appraisal was received from hands of the Minister of Industry and Trade Mr. Martin Riman and Managing Director of Brno Fair Mr. Jiri Skrla by ZKL Group General Manager Mr. Jiri Prasil and Director of ZKL-Vyzkum a vyvoj, a. s. The Golden Medal award represents a significant success as far as publicity of our trade fair participation is concerned, it was positively noted by all our important business partners and our success met also attention in news program of Brno 1 TV station. In course of the fair there was held a number of meetings of ZKL representatives with our trading partners both from Central Europe and from Asia and Latin America. It is not an exaggeration to declare ZKL Group participation in Brno Fair as very important for presentation of our company in Europe, in addition to that as very successful this year thanks to the Golden Medal award and consequential for further deepening of relations within our trade collaboration.
