NTN Bearing Corporation of America Appointed New President

NTN Corp. (Japan) has named Peter Eich as President of NTN Bearing Corporation of America. He replaces Rick Thomas, who announced his retirement effective April 1, 2006, after 34 years with the company. Mr. Thomas spent exactly three years in the position, having been appointed April 1, 2003 from President of NTN Bearing Corporation of Canada and Executive VP of U.S. Aftermarket Sales. Of the transition, Mr. Thomas said: "I am very confident in handing off the leadership to Pete. I have worked with Pete for the past three years and I am very comfortable in his abilities to move NTN forward to achieve future goals." Mr. Eich commented: "I am excited about the opportunity to lead NTN towards continued growth. I am fortunate to inherit a good business model and a hard working, very capable staff. Our team has a tremendous advantage with the quality products that are produced in NTN¡¯s plants. One of the areas that makes NTN a great company is that we constantly work to improve quality in everything we do. It is an exciting time to be a part of NTN¡¯s team." With a BSME from Purdue, Mr. Eich joined NTN in 1982 as a junior engineer. He advanced to his former position as VP of Industrial OEM Sales in 2002. The company has not announced Mr. Eich's replacement for head of Industrial OEM Sales.
