Delhi Police Raids Dealers of Counterfeit Bearings of SKF Brand

In a major seizure today, Delhi Police cramped down the Dealers of Counterfeit Bearings of SKF Brand. The material seized was worth over Rs.12 million. The raids were carried out by the Special Staff, Central District in seven locations near GB Road. Police arrested the owners of 5 locations raided included Mr. Mohammed Mussa, 2347, Gali Mir Madari, Kamla Market, Delhi, Mr. Mohammed Amir, Shop no.1347, Gali Ambewali, FarashKhana, Delhi, Mr. Mohammed Asig Ali, Shop no.2194, Rod Grand, Delhi. Mr. Irshad Niazuddin Mushlin 2347, Gali Mir Madari, Kamala Market, Delhi, Mr. Mohmmad Iqbal, 2207 AhataHazzanzi, kamala market, Delhi, 1, 1384/1, Basement, Chatarajan, FarashKhana, Delhi, 1384/4, Basement, Chatarajan, Farash khana, Delhi. Commenting on the recent raids, Rakesh Makhija, Managing Director, SKF Bearings India Ltd said, "SKF is committed to safeguarding customers¡¯ interest. We work closely with our authorised distributors and stockists to ensure that customers receive only genuine SKF bearings." SKF Bearing India has been proactively handling the counterfeit issue through detailed customer awareness programmes and holographic product packaging. It is also taking active steps in educating customers of the ill effects and disadvantages of using spurious bearings, the most common of which include damage to equipment and machinery.
